These was quite easy in the end. If you have a dealt with the DNS records before. The most helpful resources for the process were: https://www.steegle.com/google-sites/how-to/assign-custom-url-domain-personal/godaddy and the following info I found from the page when it was not the pointing to the right place

It says that you should wait up to 48 hours, but mine was working in half an hour. I have a deal with cases when it is even faster.
